Contact Lens Exams & Fittings
A brief exam dedicated for optimum contact lens fit & vision.
Service Description
According to the Food & Drug Administration, contact lenses are medical devices that require an initial fitting under supervision by an eye doctor. At Beri Eye Care Associates (BECA), you will undergo a contact lens fitting appointment after your comprehensive vision exam. If you are a new patient to BECA or if your current prescription is being updated, this is usually done on a separate day. If you are a new contact lens wearer, you will receive personalized training from one of our highly qualified technicians. Contact lens prescriptions expire after one year. BECA offers a 20% discount for Plano sunglasses (sunglasses which provide no corrective power) to our contact lens patients that purchase their supply through our office. Please review the contact lens policy under "Insurance and Forms." A contact lens-related office visit will take one approximately one hour. Again, please note that the contact lens exam and fitting will take place separately from the comprehensive eye exam To learn more about contact lens basics, please visit the Academy of Ophthalmology website: www.aao.org/eye-health/glasses-contacts/contact-lens-102
